I wanted to be a hairstylist ever since I can remember. It’s in my blood. My mom and grandma were both hairstylists, and my grandpa owns his own barbershop where he still works.
After graduating from San Jose State University with a degree in sociology, I decided to explore the beauty industry by enrolling in the cosmetology program at San Jose City College.
I quickly discovered that my passion lies in enhancing the beauty of each person sitting in my chair through creative haircuts, cutting edge color services and beautiful styling.
After nine years of working behind the chair full time, I moved to New York to pursue the next phase of my career: working in fashion.
Under the direction of some incredible hairstylists (including Thom Priano, Jimmy Paul and Scott McMahan) I have been able to assist backstage at New York Fashion Week and on set for several international editions of Vogue, W and V.
More recently, I’ve been racking up my own editorial credits for magazines such as GQ Turkey, L’Officiel Hommes Mexico, V Man, Vogue India, Paper, and Wonderland among others. Working in fashion is tremendously exciting, so I'm working hard to add more editorial work and runway styling to my portfolio.
I’ve also been expanding my commercial portfolio with clients including Urban Outfitters, Glow Recipe, Billy Reid, WW and more.
My haircuts have been seen on models in worldwide campaigns and runways for Balenciaga, Theory, Maison Kitsune, Rick Owens, Coach and many more.
